Cancellation policy
Last Updated: 07/19/2024
1. Notice Period: Specify how much advance notice the client must provide before canceling or rescheduling consulting services. This is typically between 24 hours to a few days, depending on the complexity and duration of the consulting engagement.
2. Cancellation Fees: Outline any fees that may apply if the client cancels within a certain timeframe. For example, a percentage of the consulting fee might be charged if the cancellation occurs less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.
3. Rescheduling: Clarify whether clients can reschedule without penalty and under what conditions (e.g., with sufficient notice as defined in the policy).
4. Force Majeure: Include a clause addressing unforeseen circumstances beyond either party's control (e.g., natural disasters, severe weather) that may necessitate cancellation without penalty.
5. Refund Policy: Specify whether refunds are provided for canceled consulting sessions and the conditions under which they would be issued (e.g., full refund if canceled with 48 hours' notice).
6. Communication: Define the preferred method of cancellation notification (e.g., email, phone call) and the contact person or department responsible for receiving cancellations.
7. Contractual Agreements: Ensure that the cancellation policy is clearly stated in the consulting services contract or agreement signed by both parties before commencing the engagement.
8. Client Responsibilities: Outline any responsibilities or obligations the client must fulfill regarding cancellations (e.g., providing specific information or documentation).
